CJ Strike is a kitesurf spot on CJ Strike Reservoir, a Snake River reservoir in the high desert of southwestern Idaho. This large lake offers good fetch and powerful thermal winds channeled by the Snake River canyon. Spectacular high desert landscape with basalt cliffs. Season from May to October. Boat ramp available.
Snake River freshwater. Water temperature from 5°C in spring to 22°C in summer. Large reservoir with good fetch. Rocky (basalt) to sandy bottom. River current possible. Full 4/3 wetsuit in spring/fall, shorty in summer.
