Indian Creek Reservoir is a kitesurf spot on a small reservoir in the high desert south of Boise. This compact lake offers accessible conditions for beginners with consistent afternoon thermal winds. Less crowded than Lucky Peak. Easy access from Kuna or Boise. Season from May to October.

Freshwater with variable visibility. Water temperature from 5°C in spring to 23°C in summer. Small and shallow lake. Muddy bottom. Limited fetch. Full 4/3 wetsuit in spring/fall, shorty in summer.
Shallow lake: risk of hitting bottom. Rattlesnakes in high desert areas. Thunderstorms possible with lightning in summer. Variable lake level. Summer heat in the high desert.
