Kitesurf spot at Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu, on the Richelieu River in Montérégie. The Richelieu River connects Lake Champlain to the St. Lawrence River. In the Saint-Mathias area, the river widens enough to offer rideable water. The freshwater and green banks create a pleasant rural setting. Wind is sometimes disrupted by riverside vegetation. Spot easily accessible from Montreal (40 min).
