Kitesurf spot in the Bassin area, at the southwestern tip of Havre-Aubert island. Bassin is a natural harbour that offers calmer conditions than the exposed beaches. The water is ideal for progression with relatively flat water inside the harbour. In westerly or southwesterly winds, the spot receives clean wind from the open water.
Natural harbour offering semi-protected waters. Relatively flat water inside, choppier toward the harbour entrance. Sandy and shallow bottom in the harbour. Water stays cold (12-16°C in summer), wetsuit required. Tides affect the rideable area — check schedules.

Watch for shallow areas at low tide that can expose sandbars. Current at the harbour entrance. Cold water requiring thick wetsuit. Recreational boating possible in the area — stay alert.
