Escola de Vela is the interior lagoon spot of Lagoa de Óbidos, open all year including summer (unlike the top lagoon which closes June 15 - Sept 15). Stronger wind due to Venturi effect. Deep enough for foiling. North wind best. Oursins present — wear booties. The main kite school zone on the lagoon.
