Aiglet is the north-facing snowkite spot on the Les Estables sector (Haute-Loire, 43), located between Les Estables and Saint-Front, at the foot of Rocher d'Aiglet. Facing NNW to NE, it perfectly complements the Pré de Mézenc and Chaulet spots which face south.
Spot suitable for all levels with a nice launch ramp at the end of the field. For advanced riders, the Rocher d'Aiglet offers great slopes further away, but you need to pack your kite and walk about 300 m to reach it (sheltered zone with obstacles dangerous for kites).
Les Estables is considered one of the best snowkite spots in France. The area offers spots for all wind directions, making it a complete playground.
Les Estables is 30 min from Le Puy-en-Velay, 1h from Saint-Étienne and 2h from Lyon.
Spot facing NNW / N / NE. The main field is suitable for all levels with a nice launch ramp at the end. Rocher d'Aiglet, further away, offers great slopes for advanced riders (300 m approach walk through a sheltered zone).
Snowkite school: Mézenc Kite (mezenckite.com), run by Didier Botta, 2021 world champion. FFVL-certified spot.
