Ålbæk is a kitesurf spot at the northeast tip of Jutland, near Skagen, at the transition between the Skagerrak and the Kattegat. It's one of the windiest areas in Europe, but also one of the most dangerous due to increasingly chaotic currents near the tip of Skagen. The sandy beach faces northeast.
Open all year round

Waves and chop from the Kattegat over a sandy bottom. Conditions can be powerful with cross-swells at the junction of the Skagerrak and Kattegat. Unpredictable and changing currents, characteristic of the Skagen area.
Chaotic and dangerous currents characteristic of the Skagen tip. Westerly (offshore) wind is unstable and dangerous, pushing out to sea. The closer to Skagen, the more unpredictable the currents become. Spot reserved for experienced riders.
