Sylten is a kitesurf spot on southern Amager near Copenhagen, about 25 minutes from the city centre. The spot works well in east to southeast winds, offering flat water and chop over a shallow bottom. Warning: rocks are present under the surface and it's not recommended to go alone without an instructor for the first time. Café Sylten overlooks the launch area directly. Protected area from November 1 to April 1 for bird migration.
Flat water and chop over shallow bottom. Grass and sand at the shore. Small launch area. You need to walk a good distance in the right direction to reach a sandbar without rocks. Cool water requiring a wetsuit.
