Amager Strandpark is Copenhagen's most urban kitesurf spot, easily accessible by car, bike or metro. The lagoon offers exceptionally smooth water, perfect for jumps. The water is deep, requiring body dragging skills in case of problems. The spot is ideal in winter when crowds diminish; in summer the water is shared with swimmers, canoeists and triathletes. Surfing restricted from mid-June to late August.

Exceptionally smooth lagoon, perfect for jumps and freestyle. Deep water. Sandy beach on both sides with grass areas. Flat water conditions in the lagoon even in strong winds. Extensive parking available.
Deep water requiring body dragging skills. Surfing restricted from mid-June to late August (bathing season). Very busy in summer with swimmers, canoeists and triathletes. East and north winds rare; other directions can be unstable.
