Sandvig is a small 300 m sandy beach at the northwest tip of Bornholm, at the foot of the Hammerknuden granite plateau. The spot faces north and works in NW to NE winds. Over 450 km of fetch northward into the open Baltic. Secondary Bornholm spot, useful when northerly winds dominate.

Chop with waves up to 1 m in onshore winds. Mostly sandy bottom with some rocks. Depth increases relatively quickly. Clear water. No tidal influence.
Rocky granite coastline bordering the beach — numerous submerged rocks. Currents in the bay. Limited launch area (300 m). Depth increases quickly from shore. Sheltered from westerly winds by the Hammerknuden cliffs.
