Bovbjerg is a spectacular spot on the west coast of Jutland, dominated by the Bovbjerg lighthouse (Bovbjerg Fyr) and its 41 m high clay cliffs. Advanced spot with powerful North Sea wave conditions. This section of coast, historically called the "Iron Coast" (Jernkysten) due to frequent shipwrecks, is one of Denmark's most exposed. Groynes (breakwaters) along the coast.

41 m clay cliffs with active erosion — landslide risk. Groynes (breakwaters) along the coast creating dangerous rip currents. Powerful undercurrents typical of the "Iron Coast." Violent shore break. No harbour or shelter nearby. Reserved for experienced riders.
