Hamborg is a spot in the Cold Hawaii area, on the northwest coast of Jutland, near Vorupør in Thy National Park. Advanced spot exposed to powerful North Sea waves with consistent westerly winds. Sandy beach with rocks and metal debris in the water — booties essential. Wild and preserved setting, one of Denmark's best wave riding spots.

Powerful North Sea waves over sand and rock bottom. Consistent swell conditions in westerly winds, with regular 1-3 m waves that can exceed 4 m during storms. Strong longshore currents. Cold water year-round (8-18°C) — full wetsuit mandatory.

Hazards

Rocks and metal debris underwater — booties mandatory. Strong and unpredictable currents typical of the North Sea coast. Powerful shore break making water entry and exit difficult. Stones on the beach and in the water. Remote spot with no nearby rescue infrastructure. Reserved for experienced riders.
