Farø is a small island connected by causeways between Zealand and Falster, in the Storstrømmen strait. The spot on the causeway towards Bogø works with almost all wind directions except south. Frequent Venturi effect — Farø often has wind when other Zealand spots don't. Shallow flat water on both sides of the causeway.
Open all year round
Beginner
Flat, shallow water on both sides of the causeway. Large water area with standing depth over a long distance. Left side (onshore wind): ideal for beginners and freestyle. Right side (offshore wind): flatter but reserved for experienced riders due to the bridge.
Stones scattered in the water, especially between the two small bays on the left side. Fishing nets in the water. The Storstrøm bridge is a serious hazard on the offshore side — drift risk. EU Bird Protection Area: June to August, ride only north of Farø.
