Rubjerg Knude is a spectacular spot near the famous ruined Rubjerg Knude lighthouse, on the northwest coast of Jutland between Løkken and Lønstrup. The impressive sand cliffs over 60 m high, actively eroding (1-2 m per year), provide a unique backdrop. Advanced spot with North Sea/Skagerrak wave conditions.

North Sea / Skagerrak waves over sandy bottom. Consistent swell in westerly to northwesterly winds. Powerful shore break at the base of the cliffs. Strong and dangerous longshore currents. Cold water year-round — full wetsuit mandatory.

60 m sand cliffs with active erosion — risk of falling blocks and landslides. Never ride at the base of the cliffs. Strong and unpredictable currents. Powerful shore break. Breakwaters and stone walls near Lønstrup creating dangerous currents. Remote spot with no rescue infrastructure. Reserved for experienced riders.
