Juelsminde is a coastal town in eastern Jutland, at the entrance to Vejle Fjord. The main beach (Storstranden, 1.7 km) faces east towards the Kattegat and Little Belt. The spot works in east to south winds. Calm, shallow waters, sheltered from prevailing westerly winds. Blue Flag certified beach.

Calm, shallow water. Moderate chop — the Kattegat/Little Belt doesn't produce real swells. Sandy bottom along the beach. Temperature: 18-23°C in summer, 8-13°C in spring. Wetsuit always required.
Stone groynes along the beach — obstacle for kiting. 62 m bathing jetty (Storstrandsbroen). Beach shared with swimmers and families in summer. Easterly wind less frequent than prevailing westerlies — spot not always active.
