Agger Lake is a flat water spot on the Limfjord side, at Agger Tangen — the narrow peninsula separating the North Sea from the Limfjord. Flat water alternative to the wave spot at Agger on the North Sea side. Westerly winds cross the peninsula and dike, creating exceptional flat water conditions on the fjord side. Riding area limited to A-zones (B-zones are bird protected areas, no riding allowed).
Shallow flat Limfjord waters behind the dike. In westerly wind, the water is "mirror flat" in the lee of the dike — ideal conditions for freestyle. Chop increases toward the middle of the fjord. Launch from grass (no beach). Wetsuit required year-round.
Beginner
Open all year round
Bird protected zones (B-zones) where riding is prohibited — ride only in year-round authorized A-zones. Concrete, roads and houses nearby — careful launching and landing. Do not confuse with the Agger spot on the North Sea side which has dangerous groynes and shore break.
