Snowkite in Western Switzerland: two options to ride all winter

Fred Contat welcomes snow kiting enthusiasts to the best spots in French-speaking Switzerland through a flexible system that follows the snow.

Jura option

As soon as the first flakes fall in the Vaud Jura (1000m altitude), sessions begin on sites accessible by car or train. The format favors small groups of 2 to 4 participants for 3-hour sessions. With climate change making these windows increasingly rare, quick booking is essential.

Alps option (Valais)

When the Jura lacks snow, we head to Magic Pass resorts: Glacier 3000, Gemmipass, St-Luc... Between 2000m and 3000m, reliable snow cover from December to April allows multiple weekly slots. The approach is personalized coaching rather than standard lessons, in private or semi-private format, for a full day (2 to 5 hours of actual riding time).
